Police blotter.

A 22-year-old Union City man was arrested on Sunday around 2 a.m. after vandalizing a downtown bar, police said.

Gregory Bostrom allegedly broke the window at Marty O'Briens on the corner of First and Bloomfield Streets after being asked to leave the establishment for acting disorderly, according to police reports.

When police arrived at the scene, they spoke to employees of the bar who were trying to chase the suspect, police said. Police said they caught up with Bostrom around Park Avenue and Fourth Street.

When Bostrom was asked to leave, he tried to get back inside and the bouncer of the bar closed the door and locked it, police said. Bostrom then allegedly punched the door, causing the glass to break, police said.

The M.O.B. employee then opened the door, and a second verbal argument started, police said. After the door was closed once more, Bostrom allegedly threw a metal pole at the door, causing all the glass to shatter completely.

The owner of the bar said that repair will cost at least $500.

While police was processing Bostrom, he began to vomit and lost consciousness, police said. He was then transported to the Hoboken University Medical Center.
