New Café Coming To 14th Street In Hoboken (But It's Not The Diner)

The diner and La Scala don't appear to be returning to Hoboken's 14th Street, but a new café is poised to open. Here's what they'll serve.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Several new restaurants are coming to Hoboken's Washington Street, including one serving Turkish wraps and sandwiches, but a major thoroughfare at the northern end of town is also set to get new eats.

Café La Canna recently placed signage at 159 14th St., which was, until 2022, the "V Spot" nail salon. Years ago, the location served as home to a popular upscale Italian eatery, La Scala.

The signage for the new shop promises "exotic coffee and tea," but not only that — they'll have juices, smoothies, snacks, and "CBD products," they say.
