New Community Public Safety Meeting Scheduled For Hoboken Wednesday

Refreshments will be provided at Hoboken's next public safety meeting on Wednesday.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The city of Hoboken will hold its regular monthly CAPS community meeting on Wednesday, with police and fire officials attending.

The informal gathering will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at The Hive, 1000 Park Ave. from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Representatives of Hoboken Fire, Hoboken Office of Emergency Management, Hoboken Police, Hoboken EMS and Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and the Hoboken Health Division will be there, the city has said. Light refreshments will be served.

Discussions about public safety in Hoboken have become more heated since a man from Washington D.C. randomly attacked a nanny and another man in Church Square Park in October, according to police.

The Hive, a local coffee shop, noted on social media this week that its playspace for kids in the back will be closed from 8:30-10 a.m. due to the meeting.
