No PATH Train For You: Shuttles Take Over As Station Closes In Hoboken (PHOTOS)
The PATH train station in Hoboken closed Friday morning for a month of repairs. See photos and details of new travel alternatives.
HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken PATH (Port Authority Trans Hudson) station has officially closed for a month of renovations, but transit agencies are offering alternatives.
The PATH is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. on Feb. 25.
The temporary loss of the $3 train — which takes passengers to Manhattan and several Hudson County towns — has a big impact on mile-square Hoboken. However, the other transit options in town, including at that station, remain.

- The Port Authority also has added free shuttle buses (see photo above) at the station to bring passengers to the Exchange Place and Newport PATH stations on the Jersey City waterfront.
The city of Hoboken said Friday that they're collaborating with the agencies to minimize disruptions.
"Residents are encouraged to leave extra travel time, explore travel alternatives, and prepare for increased traffic around Hoboken Terminal due to additional buses," the city said. "Please be aware, the Hoboken Terminal Hop pick-up and drop-off location will be temporarily moved to the bus shelter on the north side of Hudson Place east of River Street."
