PATH Trains From Hoboken To NYC Resume With Delays

HOBOKEN, NJ — With Hoboken commuters already anticipating the Hoboken PATH station closing for repairs at the end of the month, they got a taste of what that might be like Monday morning.

After 6 a.m., the Port Authority announced that the line from Hoboken to 33rd Street in New York City was suspended because of a "broken rail" near Christopher Street. The lines to the World Trade Center was still operating.

The line resumed operating shortly after 8 a.m., but with delays.

Also, from Jan. 31 to The Port Authority will close the Hoboken PATH train station — a major commuter hub to Manhattan — from Jan. 31 through 5 a.m. on Feb. 25 for "significant track and station upgrades," said the agency last month.
