Pedestrian Hit by Bus on Downtown Washington Street

A man appeared to have been hit by a bus on Wednesday night.

A man appeard to have been hit by an NJ Transit bus on Wednesday night a little after 8 p.m. on Washington and First Streets. The man—who was unknown at the time of the accident—was lying on the ground and his shoes were off due to the collision. 

After the accident the man was taken to Jersey City Medical Center by the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps. 

Buses on Washington Street, in the downtown direction, were backed up for about 15 minutes on Wednesday night, following the incident.
