HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken Fire Victims Memorial Project held a plaque unveiling held in Tom Olivieri Park in Hoboken on a recent Sunday afternoon.

The plaque memorializes the dozens of adults and children who died in suspicious fires in Hoboken in the 1970s and 1980s, as the town was gentrifying.

Organizers are now seeking to compile a list of names of the victims. In some cases, the blazes nearly wiped out entire families. (READ MORE: Hoboken Approves Memorial To Honor Victims Of Fires In 1970s/80s)
