Police Blotter: Man Arrested In Starbucks For Heroin Posession
24-year-old West New York man arrested

A 24-year-old man from West New York was arrested Friday afternoon around 4 o'clock, for possession of heroin after being found unconscious in a Starbucks bathroom, according to police reports.
Police was called after someone found the unconscious man at Starbucks on 51 Newark St., according to reports. Police found the 24-year-old in the bathroom, and were told that he was in posession of a hypodermic needle, police said.
When police asked the man if he was in posession of a needle, he answered he didn't know and gave the officer permission to look through his back pack, according to reports. The man also told police that he is a recovering heroine addict, police said.

The officer then found a needle and a silver-colored metal spoon commonly used to prepare heroin, police said. On the spoon was a white residue, according to police reports.
The man was patted down and arrested.
