A Hoboken man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after repeatedly slamming a victim's head on Saturday around 2:35 a.m., according to police reports. 

Police said that witnesses told them that Joseph Stavish, 46, beat up a 57-year-old male after accusing him of taking his money. According to the police report, Stavish was on top of the victim and kicked him before officers responded. Police said also that the victim had trouble getting up from the floor. About the victim, police wrote in the report: "His speech was disjointed and he ... displayed an altered mental status."

According to the police report the incident happened in front of 61 First St.

According to a police report, a visitor from Mine Hill said that on Sunday he was robbed by two males on Second and River Streets around 2:15 a.m. The victim told police that the robbers stole his wallet, according to the report. 

Although police officers followed and stopped two gentlemen, No arrests were made, according to the report, because the witnesses were not sure on their identities, according to the report on the matter.

On that same Sunday, in front 0f 60 Newark St. around 3 a.m., two Leonia residents were arrested and charged with aggravated assault on police (and other charges) after one struck a police officer after slamming a door and the other was yelling disorderly in the streets, according to police reports.

According to the report, officers stopped a car to do a DWI check. According to the police, officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Albert Oh's breath, the man who was driving the car. Then, according to the police report, Oh tried to pull the door shut and in doing so, struck one of the officers in the arm, causing him to fall down. 

According to the police report, the officer arrested Oh, 22, when he got out of the car. Officers also arrested the passenger,  Anthony Luis Arauz, 23, who was yelling out the window of the car earlier, according to the report. 

About the drivers, the police stated in the report: "both males appeared to be impaired and possibly under the influence of alcohol."

An argument between two Jersey City males on Sinatra Drive on Saturday night turned physical, according to police reports, and the two men were arrested. 

According to the report, police got help from four witnesses to find out what happened in the situation.
