POLL: Should Municipal Elections be Moved to November?

A petition drive is underway to put the question of moving the municipal elections to November. 

If enough signatures are gathered, the question about moving the elections will be on the ballot in November, when Hobokenites head to the voting booths for the general election.

It's not the first time we're asking you this question, and it's not the first time that this issue is being discussed.

Now, it seems, the people will decide it after all. If approved, the —when Mayor Dawn Zimmer's term is up—will move from May to November.

Another question that could be put on the ballot, is to eliminate run-off elections.
