PATH Train Service Resumes In Hoboken (UPDATE)

The city of Hoboken advised commuters that the mechanical issues could affect the Monday morning commute.

HOBOKEN, NJ — PATH train service in and out of Hoboken resumed around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday after being suspended for several hours.

Service had been suspended late Sunday due to a power outage, the Port Authority announced shortly after 8 p.m.

The agency said around 11:30 p.m. that normal service was resuming.

"Crews resolved earlier 3rd rail power loss at HOB," they said. NJ Transit trains and light-rail service would only cross-honor passes until midnight, they said.

The city of Hoboken had said in a message at 8:10, "Due to a Port Authority of New York and New Jersey power outage Sunday afternoon, PATH service is suspended in and out of Hoboken ... Hoboken commuters are advised to prepare for potential service disruptions through the Monday morning commute."
