Former Cake Boss Cast Member Sentenced To Prison For Sex Assault

HOBOKEN, NJ -- Remy Gonzalez, a former Cake Boss cast member, has been sentenced to nine years in prison on sexual assault charges, according to the Star Ledger. Gonzalez, who is Buddy Valastro's former brother-in-law, is a Mexican native and will face deportation after his sentence, the paper also reported. 

in August 2010 and charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual contact and two counts of criminal sexual contact. 

According to an affidavit filed by Detective Dan Haber of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes Unit in 2010, the charges against Gonzales are in response to alleged acts of sexual assault on a 13-to-16-year-old child occuring in East Hanover and Florham Park on various dates between September 2009 and March 9, 2010.
