Sale Of 20-Foot-Wide Rowhome In Hoboken Sets Records
5 bidders raised the sale of this Hoboken rowhome to more than $4M.

HOBOKEN, NJ — After a five-bedroom brick brownstone went on sale in Hoboken for $3.95 million last month, it sold in five days — for $4.23 million.
Five bidders battled to buy the property at 208 Fifth St., said a spokesperson for the real estate firm Brown Harris Stevens last week.
The sale showed just how eager buyers are to find space to live in mile-square Hoboken, across the river from Manhattan. The home is 20 feet across.

The sale was the highest price ever recorded on Fifth Street in Hoboken, said the spokesperson, and the ninth highest for a rowhome in Hoboken overall.
Fifth Street runs across the city's middle, from the waterfront west toward the Palisades cliffs.
Peter Cossio and Ann Wycherley of the firm brokered the deal.
The highest price for a townhome was a $6.5 million sale of a townhouse at 504 Hudson St. in 2016. That sale was also completed by Peter Cossio of Hudson Realty Group at Brown Harris Stevens.
"This sale comes on the heels of a surge of record-setting deals redefining Hoboken’s luxury landscape," said the spokesperson. "Peter Cossio and the Hudson Realty Group has been responsible for Hoboken’s top two highest priced townhomes ($6.5M and $5.9M) and the top two highest priced condos of all time ($4.65M and $4.2M). Premium listings continue to be absorbed rapidly."
