Bouldering, Lead, and Speed Climbing

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Olivia has been climbing in all three competitive disciplines (Speed, Lead, and Bouldering) since age 7. As a testament to her ability, she has made the Youth National team each year since age 11. Competing across the United States and the world for U.S. National climbing team, Olivia has competed in Italy (2019) and Ecuador and qualified in (2020 and 2021) but chose not to travel because of Covid-19 and political unrest in Russia. She returned to the Youth World Championship in 2022 in Dallas, Texas.

Olivia is a 2023 Olympic hopeful will compete in national team trials.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

Academically, Olivia is taking full advantage of the rigorous curriculum provided at The Hudson School. She has challenged herself each year academically and has earned a 4.06. Olivia's academic discipline is remarkable and in every sense, she is gifted.

Behind her determined façade is a young lady with a smile that lights up a room when she enters. Olivia is engaging, personable, and loves butterflies. Her demeanor is such that she never seeks the spotlight; she effortlessly endures the stress of significant work and is always a teacher's favorite because of her participation and effort.

She is taking advantage of a rigorous curriculum choosing to take Latin 5, AP Biology, and AP Comparative Government in her senior year. In doing so, she understands that a rigid academic schedule will provide her with the preparation necessary to handle the increased expectations of coursework she will encounter next fall.

Keep up the great work, Olivia!
