Streets To Close When Sewerage Authority Evacuates Its Pits In Hoboken
Traffic may get tied up near the Hoboken/Jersey City border for 3 days as the sewerage authority evacuates the pits.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Traffic really is the pits.
On Monday, the city of Hoboken sent out a traffic advisory saying the North Hudson Sewerage Authority will excavate test puts this Wednesday through Friday, closing several blocks near the Jersey City border.
The city said, "Drivers should leave extra travel time and use northern routes to and from Hoboken."

The pits will be excavated between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 24 through Friday, July 26 at Newark and Jefferson streets for future sewer replacement work, the city said.
Newark Street between Madison Street and Adams Street will be closed during work hours, the city said.
Detours
Vehicles traveling eastbound on Newark Street will be detoured onto Madison Street, and westbound will be detoured onto Adams Street, the city said. Also, trucks will be detoured onto Clinton Street.
