Survey Shows 52 Percent of Parents Against Reverting to Middle School Model

The Hoboken Board of Education sent out a survey.

A survey by the Hoboken Board of Education asking people if the district should revert back to a middle school model has shown that about 52 percent of parents is against the idea.

The 1,067 parents of the districts received the survey and 150 responded. 

The survey also showed that the vast majority of parents is in favor of implementing school uniforms in Hoboken's public schools.

In previous interviews, Superintendent Dr. Mark Toback has said that he will gather community imput on the idea. 

"This is a community decision," Toback said in a prior interview. "It's an idea and that's it."

In a poll on Patch, the majority of responders was in favor of the idea. 

If implemented, the re-organization of the district wouldn't happen until the Fall of 2014.
