'Taste Of Hoboken' Will Bring Food, Drink, And Charity To Waterfront

Sample food and drink from dozens of Hoboken-area restaurants on the waterfront to help a good cause.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Now that the date for the annual "Taste of Hoboken" charity event has been announced, residents can prepare to try food from dozens of area restaurants and help needy residents (and even their pets).

The June 3 event will have food, drink, live entertainment, and a silent auction, all on the Hoboken waterfront.

The event will take place outdoors at Maxwell Place Park.

Last year more than 700 guests enjoyed offerings from more than 30 restaurants and nearly 50 beverage distributors, with all beverages generously donated by Giannone Wine, a long-time supporter of Taste of Hoboken and the Hoboken Community Center.

The Hoboken Community Center provides housing at the former YMCA for 96 homeless men, and offers a food bank, free toiletries, and pet suppiles for area people in need.

This year’s culinary lineup includes Hoboken favorites like Alessio's, Anthony David's, Bin 14, Boomerang Bites, Brass Rail, Casa Italia, Double Dough, GTK, Il Tavolo de Palmisano, Karma Kafe, Leo's Grandevous, Otok Bakery, Terrace by Alessio's, The Madison Bar & Grill, Napoli’s, The Shepherd & Knucklehead, Tony Boloney, and UH Hoboken, with more to come.

The event is for people 21 and over only.

Sponsors include Jersey City Medical Center, BCB Bank, Bijou Properties, Rockabill, AJ Gallagher, LCOR, and Rockefeller Group.
