Three Arrested After Armed Robbery in Uptown Hoboken
Two victims were robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning in uptown Hoboken, police said.
Hoboken police arrested two men and one woman who were allegedly involved in an armed robbery on Sunday around 3 a.m., according to reports.
The alleged robbers, Antwan Austin, 29 from East Orange and Gerren Simms, 32, from Irvington, were also charged with resisting arrest by eluding an officer, being in possession of prohibited weapons and devices, possession of weapon for unlawful use, as well as receiving stolen property, according to reports.
Police officers received reports of a parked car at Seventh and Willow with a driver that seemed nervous, according to reports. When the police arrived at the scene, the vehicle was no longer there. A few minutes later, reports of an armed robbery came in over the police scanner, police said.

The description the officers received was that of two tall black men who were allegedly in possession of black hand guns, police said. The men had last been seen walking east on Seventh Street.
The victims were a 25-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man from Philadelphia, according to reports. The incident happened at 715 Clinton St., police said.

As officers drove through Hoboken, they found the car that had been parked at Seventh and Willow earlier, with three people in it, according to reports. Police started following the car, and they came to a stop in Jersey City at 18th and Grove Streets, police said.
In the car were Austin and Simms as well as Brittaney Cunningham, 27 from East Orange, police said.
Officers had their guns drawn as Austin got out of the car, holding a black handgun, police said. Police told him to drop the gun.
Austin threw the gun back into the car and started running away, police said.
As back up arrived, officers followed Austin and were able to catch him two blocks away, at 16th and Grove Streets. Austin was in possession of a loaded magazine with 14 Luger 9 mm bullets, according to reports.
Cunnigham drove the car, police said. All three were arrested by Hoboken police.
After searching the alleged robbers, police found that they had—among the three of them—$530 in cash, according to reports. It was unknown on Monday afternoon how much money was taken from the two victims on Sunday morning.
