Three Firefighters Injured Fighting New Year's Day Apartment Blaze In Hoboken
A three-alarm blaze displaced more than a dozen residents of the Willow Avenue building.

A three-alarm fire at a Hoboken apartment building has displaced several residents and injured three firefighters.
The fire broke out at the Willow Avenue apartment building on New Year’s Day, according to the Hudson Reporter.
More than a dozen residents are currently without a home, as the apartment building sustained serious smoke and water damage, according to reports by NJ.com.

Residents were seen running out of the apartments as smoke engulfed the building, according statements made by witnesses at the scene. NJ.com reported that firefighters were able to control the Thursday afternoon fire in about an hour.
“Thank you to the Hoboken Fire Department, Police Department, Office of Emergency Management, and Volunteer Ambulance Corps for the quick response to the fire tonight on Willow Ave and for keeping everyone safe,” a representative from the City of Hoboken said. “Thank you to the Jersey City Fire Department and North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue for providing mutual aid.”
