
Three teenagers were assaulted on Friday night around 8 p.m., police said.
Two Hoboken teens as well as a 15-year-old from Union City were held at knife point and robbed of their phones and headphones, according to reports. The alleged robber then told the teens to rob someone else, in order to get their belongings back, police said.
The three teenagers didn't comply with their robber's request, police said.

The incident occured around 8 p.m. on Friday when the three boys got off the light rail stop and walked in the area of Ninth and Jefferson Streets, according to police reports.
At Ninth and Grand Streets a man walked up to the three teens and asked them if they were in a gang, police said. After answering that they weren't, the man pulled out a knife and demanded their belongings, police said.

One teen handed over an iPhone, earplugs and $50 dollars in cash while another gave the robber his Blackberry and headphones. In total the belongings were worth about $550.
The alleged robber then told the kids, "if you would like your property back, follow me," according to the police report. In order to get their stuff back, the alleged robber said, the three had to assault someone. When a group walked by the man told the boys to assault them, police said. When the teens wouldn't comply, the man left, police said.
No arrest was made, but the teenagers did give a description of the man as approximately 5-foot-8, light skinned, scruffy facial hair, yellow and crooked teeth, acne on both cheeks and a shave line on his eyebrow, according to the police report.
