Thursday in Hoboken: Guitar Bar's Dylan Tribute, Maxwell's-Inspired Beer on Tap

A quick hit reminder of what's going on in the city today.

*Hoboken's Concerts in the Park series continues Thursday with a night of Bob Dylan tunes from some of Hoboken's best-known musicians, the Guitar Bar All-Stars, at 7 p.m. at Sinatra Park Amphitheater, located on Sinatra Drive between 4th and 5th streets.

*The folks at the Guitar Bar are inviting anyone in town with an acoustic guitar to come out and become part of the world's biggest band for a rendition of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," prior to the Guitar Bar All-Stars' set of Dylan covers at Sinatra Park Amphitheater at 7 p.m.

*To pay homage to the city's iconic rock club Maxwell's, which is closing at the end of the month, the brewers at Hoboken's 902 Brewing Company have concocted a limited edition beer that will be on tap for one night only Thursday at Cork City.

*Thursday marks the second day of the five-day St. Ann's Festival, held in the area of St. Ann’s Church at Seventh and Jefferson streets. A live performance by former New York Yankee Bernie Williams and his All-Star Band is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. 

*Mile Square Theatre will perform Yasmina Reza's play "Art," at 8 p.m. Thursday at 1200 Washington Gallery, located at 1200 Washington Street. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at milesquaretheatre.org or at the door.

*Residents can grab fresh produce at the Hoboken Uptown Farmers’ Market, which is open every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the corner of 13th and Hudson streets.
