Tip Cup Thief Caught On Tape

A woman was seen on surveillance tapes in multiple eateries, according to police.

At least four tip jars were stolen from several Hoboken businesses last week, according to police reports. 

A complaint was filed against 24-year-old Chelsea Organes from Oak Ridge in connection with the thefts, but Organes has not been charged. She was arrested on an outstanding warrant when was brought into police headquarters on Friday, police said.

Organes was caught on tape at all the establishments, but only one complaint has been signed, according to police.

The tip cup was stolen from , , and on April 18, and that also reported that a tip cup had been stolen. 

Organes seems to follow a certain pattern, according to police reports. When an employee goes to the back, she places the tip cup under a black jacket and walks out, police said.

An employee at Koa and Koa followed Organes when he noticed the missing tip cup, police said. It was retreived, according to the report. 

According to NorthJersey.com, Organes was arrested in December 2011 for allegedly stealing a purse from a shopping cart.
