Two Bikes Stolen from Secured Hoboken Garage

Together, the stolen bikes were worth more than $1,300.

Two bikes were stolen from a garage at Sixth and Grand Streets earlier this week, police said. 

A Trek bike worth $778 and a Gary Fisher worth $596 were allegedly taken from a private garage. 

A 37-year-old Hoboken man owned the two bikes.

The victim told police that he had left his house at 7 a.m. earlier in the day, and had seen that his bikes were still in the garage.

When he returned home about noon, he noticed that both bikes were missing, police said. The door into the garage as well as its lock were damaged, police said.

Like often is the case in these instances, there are no surveillance cameras in the garage.

No arrests were made.
