Two DUIs and One Collision during St. Paddy's Weekend in Hoboken

Two people were arrested for driving under the influence and at least one collision took place over the weekend, police said. 

Besides a few arrests, however, St. Patrick's Day was relatively quiet. Especially . 

A fight broke out around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday following a collison, police said. Two women—one from Bayonne, the other from Dumont—were struck by another car, police said, after which they refused to get out of their car, causing a traffic jam at Hudson and Newark Streets.

The two got into a verbal altercation with a group of four women, after which a large crowd gathered, police said. 

Around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, Timothy Dublynn from Staten Island was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, police said. A little earlier police had gotten word of a hit and run with a parked vehicle by a car with a flat tire in the area of Fifth and Washington, according to police reports. Police found Dublynn driving a silver colored car in the area of 16th Street and Park Avenue, according to the report.

When police asked Dublynn, 37, if he had been drinking, he answered "yes," police said. 

Around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, police arrested 30-year-old Michael Sacco from Lodi, when he allegedly sped through the street nearly hitting three women who were crossing the street, police said. 

Dublynn and Sacco were both charged with driving under the influence. None of the women were arrested.
