Two Hoboken Teens Robbed By Lightrail Station

The incident occured on Sunday afternoon.

Two Hoboken teenagers were allegedly robbed on Sunday afternoon at Ninth and Monroe Streets. 

Around 4:50 p.m., unknown actors took $50 in cash, an iPhone and a wallet from a 15-year-old Hobokenite, according to police reports. 

The two boys—who are cousins—got off the Light Rail at Ninth Street and began waling east on Ninth Street, police said. Once they got to Monroe Street, they noticed two men running behind them, police said. One of the men pushed one of the teenagers, telling him "give me your phone," police said.

Before the teen could respond, according to the reports, the unknown actor grabbed the phone from the boy's front pocket. 

After also retrieving a wallet and $50 in cash, the two men ran off, according to police. According to the police radio on Sunday afternoon, the two were believed to run off in the direction of Jersey City.
