Hoboken Man Struck in Saturday Morning Hit and Run

An unknown car struck a couple coming out of a taxi on Saturday night, according to police.

A 24-year-old Hoboken man was struck in a hit and run accident early Saturday morning, according to Hoboken police reports. 

A car hit the man, who sat in the back of a taxi together with a 21-year-old Livingston woman, when he got out of the cab at 12th and Washington Streets around 2:50 a.m., police said. 

The driver of the beige Nissan Altima that allegedly struck the victim left the scene, police said. In the accident the back door of the cab was damaged, police said.

When police got to the accident, according to reports, the victim was lying on the ground among glass and debris.

The taxi driver, a Brooklyn man, said also that the vehicle struck the taxi as the man got out. The taxi driver told police he didn't see the driver of the car that struck the man, according to reports.

The patients were taken to Jersey City Medical Center, police said. 

No arrests were made.
