*Wednesday is the first day of the five-day St. Ann's Festival, held in the area of St. Ann’s Church at Seventh and Jefferson streets. A live performance by La Caribena is scheduled for 8:15 p.m.
*Mile Square Theatre opens its five-show production of Yasmina Reza's play "Art," at 8 p.m. at 1200 Washington Gallery, located at 1200 Washington Street. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at milesquaretheatre.org or at the door.
*Hoboken Mommies is holding a "Mommie Lunch" event at 1 p.m. at Trinity, located at 306 Sinatra Drive, where local moms can come converse and interact with Dr. Z Baker from Riverside Pediatrics and other guest speakers. The event is $30 per person and includes appetizers, choice of meal, and soda/tea/coffee.
*Newport’s annual Beach Party and Food Festival is Wednesday night in Jersey City. The free festival runs from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Newport Green, located along the Hudson River at Washington Boulevard and 14th Street.
