Zimmer: Downtown NJ Transit Site Plan a Month Away
A planner has been working on a plan for the site, and a plan will be introduced in about a month, said Mayor Dawn Zimmer.

The city will introduce a plan for the development of the downtown site that is owned by New Jersey Transit in about a month, Mayor Dawn Zimmer said in a recent phone interview.
A planner will also be hired to draft a new plan for the southwestern part of town, Zimmer said, with the goal of creating a "cohesive plan."
The , which includes the Hoboken Bus Terminal, has been a point of discussion for several years.

In 2010, public meetings were held and NJ Transit for the downtown train terminal, an area just a little under 1.8 acres.
While NJ Transit has been wanting to move on with the project, the city has said it wants to complete a plan for the entire NJ Transit property, which is a total of 52 acres.

Last year, the city hired a planner to draft a proposal.
Now, Zimmer said, they're almost ready to introduce the plan.
