Accident, Downed Wires Close Schanck Road In Holmdel
A single-vehicle accident involving a box truck and utility wires has closed Schanck Road, Holmdel Police said Thursday morning.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Schanck Road is closed between Holmdel Road and Highway 34 due to a single-vehicle accident involving a box truck and utility wires, Holmdel Police announced Thursday morning.
At the time of the accident, there were three people in the vehicle and no injuries, according to Holmdel Police Sergeant Jonathan Martin.
Police are currently waiting for construction crews to remove the box truck from where it's hung up on the wires, Martin said.

There is currently no exact ETA on when the road will be open again, though Martin said residents should expect it to be closed for "a significant amount of time," potentially 4-12 hours.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area until the road has been cleared.
