Back To School: Holmdel 2023-24 School Calendar
Parents in Holmdel can mark the first day of school coming this week.
HOLMDEL, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Holmdel, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Holmdel Township School District.
The first day of school for most students in Holmdel, a pre-K to Grade 12 district, is Sept. 6, with a delayed opening for pre-school.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Holmdel Township School District
- First Day: Sept. 6.
- Thanksgiving Recess: Nov. 23 and 24, with early dismissal Nov. 22.
- Winter Recess: Early dismissal Dec. 22; school resumes Jan. 2, 2024.
- Spring Recess: Early dismissal March 28, 2024; spring recess March 29 to April 5.
- Last Day: June 18, 2024; Satz School and High School graduation.
The calendar allows for two days for weather or emergency closings, and adjustments may be made to the calendar.
