HOLMDEL, NJ — Mabel, Bell Works NJ’s first full-service restaurant, is set to open its doors on Nov. 15.

Spanning more than 4,200-square-feet and seating up to 210 guests, Mabel is a coastal European restaurant and bar by Chefs Laura Brahn and Grace Crossman.

The restaurant is named in honor of Alexander Graham Bell’s wife, Mabel Gardiner Bell, with an interior that echoes Bell Work’s architecture and Mabel’s life and impact, featuring various references to her passions for horticulture and ornithology on the walls.

“Bell Works is the ideal location for our second restaurant,” Crossman and Brahn said. “The dynamic, ever-evolving environment at Bell Works aligns perfectly with what we hope to create at Mabel — a neighborhood hub celebrating fresh, diverse ingredients with simplicity and style.”

At Mabel, guests will be able to choose from a variety of dishes such as duck rillettes, croquetas de papa packed with fresh herbs, fontina cheese and ajo blanco for dipping, a seafood tower and more.

The restaurant is Bell Work’s latest addition to their dining options.

In September, the Metroburb announced the opening of Miznon Kosher, a Mediterranean street food restaurant brought to Holmdel by celebrity chef Eyal Shani.

Mabel is the second restaurant by Brahn and Crossman. The pair are also well-known for their brunch spot, Cardinal, in Asbury Park.

“The opening of Mabel as Bell Works’ first full-service restaurant marks an exciting milestone in the evolution of the metroburb,” said Ralph Zucker, the founder and CEO of Inspired by Somerset Development. “Mabel represents more than another eatery, but a space that fosters a new level of community and connection within the Bell Works ecosystem."

Mabel will be open for lunch and dinner 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, open for brunch and dinner 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and open for brunch 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The restaurant and bar will be located by On the Block at Bell Works, NJ.

"This exciting culinary addition from a reputable hospitality team is a natural extension of our vision to establish the campus as a destination for businesses, locals and visitors alike," Zucker said.
