Here are a few other spots in Monmouth county to have some fun in the snow:

  • Beacon Hill Country Club, in the Leonardo section of Middletown (the location where last winter a group of Middletown teen boys saved two small children who sledded onto a frozen pond and broke through the ice. The Middletown boys were interviewed on "Good Morning America" and honored by the governor. That story: Middletown Teens Save Children Who Sledded Into Frozen Pond)
  • The very steep hill by Atlantic Highlands Elementary School (may be too steep for small children; kids have been injured on that hill)
  • Wolf Hill in Wolf Hill Recreation Area in Oceanport
  • Cheesequake State Park in Matawan
  • Tower Hill in Red Bank
  • The hill by Howell Public Library
