According to Madelyn's family, Madelyn loved to play with her older sister Elena in their neighborhood park on Brookside Ave.

"We want everyone to know that this was Mady's park," Deputy Mayor Peter Terranova said. "She was happy here, and we want to honor her and the entire Montanaro family by renaming it 'Mady Rose Park' in her memory."
