Car Crashes Into Pole, Closes Road In Holmdel: Police

HOLMDEL, NJ — Part of Centerville Road remains closed Wednesday after a car crashed into a pole early Wednesday morning, Holmdel Police Lt. Robert Philhower told Patch.
The crash occurred around 4 a.m. on Wednesday when a car swerved to avoid an animal on Centerville Road, Philhower said.
Only one vehicle was involved in the crash, and no injuries were reported, according to police.

Following the accident, Centerville Road was closed from Windhill Way to Dearborn Drive with a detour set up through Maple Leaf. The accident also led to some power outages throughout the area.
As of Wednesday morning, Philhower said the road is still closed and power is still in the process of being restored.

Vehicles are not able to go down Centerville Road, so police are asking drivers to plan an alternate route if traveling through the area. JCP&L is out making repairs.
