Chief Medical Officer Named For Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel
Dr. Elham A. Yousef, a patient safety expert, joins Hackensack Meridian Health at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Dr. Elham A. Yousef, formerly of Tampa General Hospital, was appointed chief medical officer of Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, Hackensack Meridian Health announced.
“Dr. Yousef’s extensive experience in direct patient care and administrative leadership roles uniquely positions her to enhance our commitment to deliver exceptional health care," said Caitlin Miller, president and chief hospital executive, Bayshore Medical Center, when the announcement was made earlier this month.
Yousef has expertise in the latest medical technologies and is dedicated to evidence-based practices, she added.

Yousef comes from Tampa General Hospital, where she held the roles of vice president of medical affairs and associate chief medical officer. Additionally, she served as an associate professor of medicine at the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida.
Before her tenure at Tampa General Hospital, she was vice chair of clinical operation and strategy, quality and patient safety, and population health. She also previously served as director of acute care at the Cleveland Clinic.
Yousef has published articles in the Journal of Hospital Medicine, Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, and Society of Hospital Medicine, Hackensack Meridian said.
Yousef received her medical degree from the Assiut University Faculty of Medicine in Assiut,
Egypt. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and earned her MBA at the Weatherhead
School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Yousef is a speaker and panelist at annual national meetings, including Backer’s Hospital Review.
