Colliers Engineering & Design Moves Headquarters to Holmdel

HOLMDEL, NJ – Colliers Engineering & Design has relocated its corporate headquarters to the Bell Works complex in Holmdel from Red Bank, the company said.

The company is a national "multi-discipline" firm, incorporating engineering, architecture, consulting and design in one firm, a company spokesperson said.

The company announced the rebranding of its subsidiary, Maser Consulting, to Colliers Engineering & Design in February 2021, according to a statement on Instagram.

Bell Works is the site of the former Bell Labs building, and has been redeveloped as a "metroburb," offering business and cultural venues in a suburban setting on Crawfords Corner Road.

“This world-class office space better accommodates our staff in an expanded, collaborative environment, with more meeting and presentation space, and upgraded technology at their disposal,” said Kevin L. Haney, president and CEO of Colliers Engineering & Design.

“We’re very excited to be moving into this premier environment,” he added.

The former Bell Labs site is known for its striking architecture and size, in the middle of an open suburban setting. Constructed between 1959 and 1962, the complex was one of the final projects of Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen before his death in 1961, according to internet sources.

Growing into the Bell Works space is in line with the company’s strategic plan to continue expanding its capabilities in a creative, innovative environment, the company said in a news release.

“We have been occupying the Red Bank location for almost 20 years, during which time, we’ve grown from about 50 to over 300 employees in that location alone,” said Leonardo E. Ponzio, executive vice president and CAO at Colliers Engineering & Design. “This move will enhance our capacity to continue to expand while maintaining the high-quality services we are known for.”

Colliers Engineering & Design currently has over 2,200 employees located in more than 60 offices nationwide, the company said.

Maser Consulting was established 40 years ago in Monmouth County, a company spokesperson said. For the last 20 years, the company was in Red Bank.

The move is scheduled to be completed by mid-February, the spokesperson said.

Headquartered in Holmdel, with offices throughout the United States, company specializes in providing comprehensive services in house, including civil/site engineering, architecture, transportation, governmental, survey/geospatial, infrastructure, geotechnical/environmental, telecommunications, utilities/energy and project management, according to a news release.
