Construction-Free Holiday for Hazlet Drivers
Hazlet drivers might see a relief in congestion this busy Black Friday weekend, as construction is set to halt until Monday.

Hazlet drivers might be able to get their Black Friday shopping done just a little bit faster this year.
Construction crews are stopping work on Union Avenue after Wednesday, and won’t start again until Monday, according to Hazlet Township Police Lt. Scott Mura.
With construction halted, only some minor detours may be required on Union Avenue, in the area between Raritan Road and Middle Road, according to the Hazlet Township Police Department Facebook page.

According to the Hazlet Police, Verizon is finishing moving cables at the Union Avenue intersection, while the contractor for Hazlet Township will also be completing their work. Contractors working for Monmouth County will be working on the installation of curbs and a new traffic signal.
Police ask drivers to use caution in the area.
