Dog Scares Off Home Invaders, Holmdel Police Search For Suspects
The incident occurred early Monday when invaders broke into a Round Hill Road home and were met by the owner's dog, police said.
HOLMDEL, NJ — A home burglary was thwarted early Monday morning by the homeowner’s dog, who scared off the invaders, Holmdel Police said.
The unknown invaders pulled up to a home on Round Hill Road at 5:45 a.m., according to police.
After failing to enter the locked vehicles in the home's driveway, the invaders then entered the house through an unlocked door, authorities said. After entering the home, police said the invaders were quickly scared off by the homeowner’s dog.

No money was taken from the house, and the invaders quickly left the area in a black SUV around 5:55 a.m., just before police arrived at 5:58 a.m. The incident is currently under investigation.
