NJ Man Facing Multiple Charges After Police Chase In Holmdel
The man was arrested after he was seen running across Route 520 with a bandana over his face around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police said.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A 35-year-old man is facing multiple charges following a police chase throughout Holmdel early Wednesday morning, Holmdel Police said.
Ryan Dautorio, 35, of Forked River, was charged with burglary, theft, trespassing, resisting arrest and criminal mischief, according to police.
Dautorio was arrested after Holmdel Police Ptl. James Herlihy spotted a man running across Rt. 520 while he was on a routine patrol around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The man was carrying a garbage bag, wearing all black clothing, gloves, and had a bandana over his face, according to police.
Once Herlihy spotted him, a chase on foot began as the man ran to the back of the businesses along Route 520, and police determined that he had burglarized the Village Exxon.

During the chase, police said a garbage bag that he was holding was recovered, along with proceeds from the burglary.
Around 7:30 a.m., Holmdel Police Sgt. Jon Martin found Dautorio on the Vonage property at 23 Main Street. After trying to stop Dautorio, police said another foot chase ensued.
Around 8 a.m., Holmdel Police posted that officers were conducting an investigation in the area of Route 520 and Holmdel Road, though there was no threat to the community.
Once Dautorio was apprehended, police said he was processed and turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
Holmdel Police are asking residents and business owners in the area of Holmdel Road and Rt. 520 to review camera footage for suspicious activity.
Police are also searching for the suspect's clothing, pants, and shirt, which is dark in color. If these items are found or someone has additional information, police are asking them to contact the Holmdel Township Detective Bureau.
