Haunted Theater, Harvest Fest, Oktoberfest: This Weekend In Monmouth County

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The weekend has officially arrived.

Though the weather forecast is calling for a stormy weekend with an incoming nor’easter and threats of coastal flooding, there are plenty of indoor activities happening around Monmouth County to check out, and some local festivals as well.

Catsbury Park Cat Convention

• Dates: Saturday & Sunday
• Location: Bell Works
• Details: Enjoy a variety of cat-themed activities, talks, panels and even meet some adoptable cats and kittens at the Catsbury Park Cat Convention this weekend. Tickets are required and can be found here.

Red Bank Oktoberfest

• Date: Saturday
• Location: Edmund Wilson Plaza (Downtown Red Bank)
• Details: Enjoy tastings of wine, beer, and spirits with food, a craft vendor market, live music and more at Red Bank Oktoberfest. Tasting wristbands/packages require tickets.

Holmdel Harvest Fest

• Date: Saturday
• Location: Bayonet Farm (41 Middletown Road, Holmdel)
• Details: Enjoy wagon rides, live music, a petting zoo, inflatable attractions and more at Holmdel Township’s 2025 Harvest Fest. The event will conclude with a showing of “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” followed by fireworks.

Brookdale’s Haunted Theater

• Dates: Saturday & Sunday (and additional fall dates)
• Location: Brookdale Performing Arts Center (765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft)
• Details: For those looking to get a head start on Halloween celebrations, you can take a walk through Brookdale’s Haunted Theater with pitch-black passages, immersive set designs, special effects and more. Tickets required.

Music Café

• Date: Sunday
• Location: Middletown Arts Center (36 Church Street, Middletown)
• Details: Spend Sunday evening with a showcase of original music and storytelling from singer-songwriters Stu Coogan, Leah Kremer, Michael Baine and Mark Healey.
