Hazlet Man Pleads Guilty To Cocaine Distribution Charge, Prosecutor Says
The man was arrested in December after being found with cocaine and other drugs in Brick Township, authorities said.
HAZLET, NJ — A Hazlet man has pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute after being found with cocaine and other drugs in Brick Township, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.
Brandon Torsiello, 25, pled guilty to possession of more than one-half ounce but less than five ounces of cocaine with intent to distribute before Judge Guy. P Ryan on Monday, Billhimer said.
Torsiello was arrested on Dec. 5, 2024, when officers assigned to the Brick Township Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit saw Torsiello participate in an activity consistent with a drug transaction, prosecutors said.

As Torsiello left the parking lot in his vehicle, authorities conducted a motor vehicle stop, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit responded to the scene to do an open-air sniff of the vehicle.
The K-9 then provided a positive alert for narcotics, Billhimer said.

Following the motor vehicle stop, Torsiello was taken into custody and brought to Brick Township Police Headquarters, where authorities said a search of Torsiello yielded quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, Xanax and suboxone.
Torsiello was then charged and brought to the Ocean County Jail, where he has been detained since.
On Dec. 7, 2024, detectives also executed a court-authorized search warrant on Torsiello’s vehicle, which found additional amounts of cocaine and assorted controlled dangerous substances, Billhimer said.
At the time of his sentencing on Dec. 5, 2025, prosecutors said the state will seek a term of five years in New Jersey State Prison.
