Hazlet Postpones Outdoor Concert Due To Weather Forecast

HAZLET, NJ — Hazlet Township has postponed the next show in their summer concert series due to inclement weather, the township announced Thursday.
In a statement posted on the township website, officials said the Xtreme Queen concert originally scheduled to take place on Thursday will now take place on Wednesday, Aug. 27, due to the weather forecast.
As of Thursday afternoon, forecasters are calling for rounds of showers and thunderstorms throughout New Jersey, which could bring the risk of flash flooding across the state.

Xtreme Queen (a tribute band honoring the legacy of Freddie Mercury) is just one of many bands scheduled to perform in Hazlet's concert series this month.

- Aug. 21: Pump (Aerosmith Tribute)
- Aug. 27: Xtreme Queen (Honoring the Legacy of Freddie Mercury)
- Aug. 28: Shadows of the Night (Pat Benatar Tribute)
Concerts begin at 7 p.m. in Veterans Park, located at 1776 Union Avenue. Each concert is free, and attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs.
