Hazlet Schools Seek Community Input On Potential Full-Day Pre-K Program
Community members have been invited to fill out an online survey about the program, which would launch in September 2027.
HAZLET, NJ — The Hazlet Township School District is seeking community input on a potential full-day pre-kindergarten program for the town’s youngest learners.
In a message posted on the district website, Superintendent Scott Ridley said the school district is exploring the feasibility of offering a full-day pre-k program for students who will be three or four years old by Oct. 1 in their year of entry.
The program would commence as of September 2027, Ridley said. The district has launched an online survey for families to provide their feedback on the idea.

“We recognize the challenges many families face in securing reliable, high-quality childcare and early education,” the district said in an online post. “To help us determine the need for this potential program — which would focus on early literacy, socialization, and school readiness — we respectfully request your feedback.”
The online survey is made up of five questions for community members to answer.

These confidential responses will guide the district’s decision-making and help plan for future educational services, officials said.
According to Ridley, the survey will remain open until Friday, Dec. 5. An email blast to the school district community will also contain a link to the survey.
