Hazlet United Soccer Association Gets New Roof, Vent Fans, Fence
In a ribbon-cutting ceremony last Saturday, the organization celebrated the improvements to its facility on Green Acres Drive.
HAZLET, NJ — The Hazlet United Soccer Association just got a facelift. In a ceremony last weekend, the organization celebrated the new fencing and roof recently installed at its complex.
The new roof and vent fans for the association's snack stand and bathrooms, valued at $10,000, were donated by Grapevine Pro. They did a complete tear-off of the old roof, replaced the rotten areas, installed two new roof vent fans and installed a new lifetime roof.
"During these unprecedented times, in a pandemic, we should recognize the generosity of local companies to our youth," said George Theis, executive board member for Hazlet United Soccer Association and member of the Hazlet Township Board of Education.

During the ceremony, the Hazlet United Soccer Association also celebrated the new fence that was put up to replace the aged and broken fencing that separated the playing fields from the road and parking lots.
The funds for the new fence, which ensures increased safety for the children, came from the municipal Open Space Fund, according to Hazlet Township.
