Hazlet's American Hero Project Collecting Supplies For Military
Check out an Amazon "wish list" of needed and fun items for active service members from Hazlet, then drop them off at two bins in town.
HAZLET, NJ — You can drop off items for Hazlet's American Hero Project at a bin at police headquarters and at one at Bethany Wine & Liquors for the entire month of April, police said.
Hazlet currently has 27 active service members. And Kathy Bossert, the mother of an actively serving airman, is again hoping to send care packages to each of them, as she did at Christmas.
The packages will contain items that are on an Amazon donation wish list - and also will include Girl Scout Cookies.

The community supported the Christmas care packages, and these care packages will hopefully be out in time to be received on Armed Forces Day, May 20.
One donation bin is located inside the police lobby at 255 Middle Road Hazlet. The lobby is to the right when you walk into the building. There is also a bin at Bethany Wine & Liquors, 3160 Route 35, Hazlet.
