What drove you to seek public office?
My wife and I are proud to have two children currently attending Holmdel schools — they are my greatest motivation!

Holmdel has long been recognized for its strong academic reputation, but like many districts, we faced significant challenges after COVID. Our rankings and test scores declined, and the district lacked clear direction and consistent leadership. Over the past three years, however, we’ve seen a remarkable turnaround.

Under the leadership of the current board and Dr. Cascone, Holmdel schools are once again thriving. Academic performance and rankings are climbing, communication and transparency have been restored, school safety and culture have strengthened, and family values and parental rights are being respected and protected.

I’m eager to help keep this positive momentum going — for our town, our district, and, most importantly, for all of our students.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?
Helping others has always been part of who I am — it’s in my DNA. After 25 years as a doctor, the most valuable lesson I’ve learned is that truly listening is the key to understanding challenges and finding effective solutions.

I take pride in developing thorough & effective treatment plans that help my patients feel their best every day, and I bring that same problem-solving mindset to every situation I face. There’s no greater satisfaction for me than working hard and seeing positive, meaningful results. I also believe that multiple perspectives are essential to solving problems and serving others. I’m fortunate that my wife, a dedicated school-based speech pathologist, and my mother, a retired teacher, provide invaluable insight from their years of experience in education.

Their perspectives have deepened my appreciation for the challenges and rewards within our schools — and strengthen my commitment to making a positive impact.

What are past accomplishments or experiences that make you qualified for this position?
Although I have never held public office, I have dedicated my life to serving others and strengthening our community. A lifelong Monmouth County resident raised in Lincroft, my commitment to service began in Boy Scouts as an Eagle Scout and continued through leadership roles as a Jersey shore lifeguard, president of my fraternity at Rutgers University, as a board member for Autism NJ’s yearly fundraiser Ride for Autism, and as a volunteer coach for my children’s sports teams. For the past 20 years, I have served thousands of families as a Doctor of Chiropractic and small business owner, providing care and leadership within our community.

This is my next opportunity to give back and be involved in something bigger than myself. Nothing is more important than making sure my children and all the students of Holmdel schools continue to receive the great educational experience that only Holmdel Schools can and will continue to provide, now and for future generations.

If elected, what will be your top priorities in your new role?
My top priority is to uphold and further strengthen Holmdel’s proud tradition of academic excellence while maintaining fiscal responsibility and long-term stability. With a commonsense approach, I am committed to enhancing our curriculum and student resources, ensuring full transparency, fostering open communication, promoting meaningful parental involvement, and protecting parental rights.

Once I become involved, my goal is always to leave things better than I found them. I look forward to collaborating with Holmdel families, faculty, current board members, and Dr. Cascone to continue raising the standard of educational excellence and to Preserve Holmdel Schools for generations to come.

Name one thing about Holmdel that always makes you smile.
Nothing makes me smile more than seeing our students, and our entire community, Living Holmdel Blue! The Live Holmdel Blue initiative celebrates everything that makes our district special: promoting respect, responsibility, fairness, community engagement, and school spirit. It’s all about building character and creating a positive, supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

What’s truly amazing is how this student-centered initiative has grown beyond the classroom. You can feel the Holmdel Blue spirit everywhere — in our schools, at our sporting events, and throughout the community. That pride is contagious, and you can see it reflected in the thousands of bright smiles from Holmdel students every single day. Go Holmdel!
