Holmdel Crash Prompts Utility Pole Damage, Power Outage Thursday
A motor vehicle crash in Holmdel is to blame for a string of power outages in Holmdel Thursday evening, authorities said.

HOLMDEL, NJ - A motor vehicle crash in Holmdel is to blame for a damaged utility pole and power outage Thursday evening, authorities said.
The outage was reported in the area of Schanck Road and Grandview Drive, Holmdel police said in a 10 p.m. statement. The outage comes as a result of JCP&L replacing the utility pole that was damaged in the crash.
Roughly 17 Holmdel customers and less than five Middletown customers were left in the dark at the time of the announcement, according to JCP&L’s outage map.

The outage was slated to last less than an hour Thursday night, Holmdel police said.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the crash.
