Holmdel Generator Theft Leads to County Indictment for Middletown Man

A Middletown man is facing charges of theft and drug possession, after the alleged theft of a generator in 2012.

Elbert Franke, 34, of Truez Place was arrested and charged with a December alleged theft of a $500 generator from Lowe's in Holmdel. 

Franke was indicted this week on charges of the theft and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous subject. Franke was allegedly in possession of both heroin and cocaine.

An indictment is a formal charge, not a conviction, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
