Holmdel Road Set To Close At Train Tracks: See When
The road will be closed while NJ Transit replaces the double track at the Holmdel Road Crossing, police said.

HOLMDEL-HAZLET, NJ — Drivers should be aware of a road closure set to begin on Thursday at Holmdel Road, the Hazlet Township Police Department said.
Beginning Thursday (Nov. 6) at 9 a.m., police said NJ Transit will be replacing the double track at the Holmdel Road Crossing, and Holmdel Road will be closed at the train tracks for construction.
The replacement is similar to the work that took place on Bethany Road a few years ago and should take no more than one week to complete (weather depending), according to police.

Weekday work will be completed between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., with weekend work completed between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Except for when milling and paving are done, police said commuters should still be able to access the train station lots from Holmdel Road. There will be detours with ample signage posted.

“You will NOT be able to cross over the tracks, even if you live ‘right there,’” Hazlet Police said. “Please follow the posted detour to reach your destination.”
During construction, police said no vehicular traffic will be permitted to travel over the train tracks. Windsor Court residents will be able to reach their homes off Holmdel Road from Route 35.
The BOE Transportation Department has also been notified of the closure, police said, as it may affect bus routes for the last few days of construction.
A map with the detour that will be in place can be found below to help drivers and other residents affected by construction navigate the closure:
