Holmdel Schools To Consider Superintendent Contract Extension
Community members are invited to attend the Board of Education's June 25 meeting, where Superintendent Cascone's contract will be discussed.

HOLMDEL, NJ — The Holmdel Township Board of Education will consider an extension of the superintendent’s contract at a meeting in late June, Board President Christian DiMare said Wednesday.
The board will consider the contract extension for Superintendent Dr. J. Scott Cascone at their meeting on June 25, DiMare said.
As part of this process, a public hearing will be held during the meeting to give community members a chance to provide input prior to the board’s vote.

All members of the school community are invited to attend, listen, and share their perspectives as the board considers this decision, the board wrote in a letter to families.
“Dr. Cascone has provided dedicated and visionary leadership to our district for the past 3+ years," the letter said. "The board looks forward to thoughtful discussion regarding his continued service.”

Cascone was appointed as the superintendent of Holmdel Schools in 2022.
Since his appointment, he has helped the schools launch a five-year strategic plan, which focuses on four areas to develop through 2028 as part of Holmdel’s educational experience.
"This plan is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing our students with a world-class education,” Cascone said. “It reflects the dedication of our entire school community — students, parents, staff, and board members — who have come together to create a roadmap for our future. This process and plan hold the promise of propelling us from where we are today to where we aspire to be in 2028.”
The agenda for the June 25 meeting is not yet available as of Thursday morning. Once the agenda is posted, it can be found here.
